1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Iceland Transfer (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Iceland Transfer is a platform that connects travelers with Icelandic tour operators and transfer providers. We facilitate bookings but are not the direct provider of transportation or tour services. Each operator is an independent service provider.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make bookings.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Bookings & Payments
- Booking requests are subject to availability and operator confirmation. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email.
- Prices are displayed in the currency indicated at checkout. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- You agree to pay the full amount at the time of booking or as otherwise specified.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Transfers: Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- Tours: Cancellation terms vary by operator and are displayed at the time of booking. Please review them before confirming.
- Custom tours: Once an offer is accepted and payment is made, cancellation terms follow the operator's specific policy.
- Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Submit false or misleading information.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service without permission.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
7. Operator Terms
If you register as an operator, you additionally agree to provide accurate business information, maintain valid insurance and licences, and fulfil confirmed bookings in a professional manner. Iceland Transfer may delist operators who fail to meet service standards.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, logos, and software on the Service are owned by or licensed toIceland Transfer. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
Iceland Transfer acts as an intermediary platform. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of tour operators or transfer providers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific booking in question.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of information, or suitability for a particular purpose.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and process your personal data.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Reykjavík, Iceland.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service.
